Most of MOV video are recorded in PCM audio codec, but some cameras support LPCM, Linear Pulse Code Modulation, for example, Panasonic Lumix S1 camera. We repaired a MDT file which was recorded in LPCM audio codec. The MDT file was damaged due to a dead battery, it should be a MOV format video.
Comparing to PCM audio, it is more difficult to recover the LPCM audio. Tried to recover it with our PCM recovery solution, we found that we could not get the sound back. So, we need to do more on the audio code, to manually analyzed the code of LPCM and improved our program, the file was repaired perfectly.
