This is a case, MP4 video can not be found, instead of it, it shows a .RSV file on memory card after recording video with SONY camera. Although the RSV has actual size, but it cannot be played, trans-coded, or imported into video editing software. To analyze the RSV file, we can use a hexadecimal viewer to check the code of the RSV file, as shown in the image below. From the picture, it can be seen that the head is not standard MP4 video header, so RSV files cannot be decoded, played, or imported into editing software by the player，but the body contains raw stream data of video and audio. Based on these data, we conclude that RSV file is an un-finalized video file.
